"I am honored to be included in this exceptional project supporting harmony between humans and nature, with elephants peacefully leading the migration to a better place. Count me in to help in any way that can amplify the message and be a part of the action! There is a diaphanous sea creature known as the "sea elephant", celebrated as part of Craig Foster's initiative to identify and tell the stories of at least 1001 animals that live in the great sea forest at False Bay, SA, where people (and sea elephants) have thrived for at least 200,000 years? Elephants love water and some swim in the sea. I wonder if, after crossing North America, the migration can continue across the Pacific..."


Dr. Sylvia Earle is the President and Chairman of Mission Blue, Chairman of Deep Hope, and a National Geographic Society Explorer at Large. She is called “Her Deepness ”by the New Yorker and the New York Times, “Living Legend” by the Library of Congress, and “First Hero for the Planet” by Time Magazine. She is an oceanographer, explorer, author and lecturer with a lifetime of experience as a field research scientist, government official, and director for corporate and non-profit organizations.
